Confessions of a Fish Oil Convert

It seems my granny was on to something with her cod liver oil after all. As kids we used to run and hide when we saw her coming with the bottle and spoon. Now, I willingly take my fish oil capsules every day. My granny would be so proud.

It all started one day in the doctor's office. I had spent the better part of my appointment complaining about the side effects from my blood pressure and cholesterol medications. At one point I even told him I was going to throw them all out and find some natural alternative. Finally, after about 20 minutes of arguing about why I should take all these prescriptions when there are alternatives out there, he threw up his hands and said, 'Fish oil. You want something natural, take fish oil. That's natural.'

Never one to take the doc's word for something, I headed home to do some of my own research. I'd heard that Omega3 supplements were good for you, but I didn't know exactly what they did. I was quite pleased to learn that not only are they good for the heart, but also good for the brain too. I was also happy to find a place online where I could try a month's supply for free.

To make a long story short, the next time I went to the doctor my blood pressure was the lowest it had been in the 3 years I'd been seeing him. Makes me wonder what would've happened if I kept taking the cod liver oil after my granny stopped force feeding me.

Now, I'm no doctor so I can't tell you that what worked for me will work for you. What I can say is that taking fish oil supplements helps me to keep my blood pressure under control. If you think they could help you too, check with your doctor or health care professional first, and then take advantage of this free trial. You might become a fish oil convert too.
